“Just write it off” sounds simple… until you reali “Just write it off” sounds simple… until you realize you don’t actually know what that means.

A deduction isn’t free money. It’s a business expense that lowers your taxable income-which can reduce how much you owe, but only if you understand how to use it correctly.

What I see all the time is women either:
• avoiding this altogether because it feels confusing
• or assuming everything can be written off

Both lead to decisions that don’t actually support their finances.

One of the easiest things I help clients fix is separating their business and personal finances.

Because when everything is mixed together, it’s almost impossible to clearly identify what’s actually a business expense and what isn’t. That’s when deductions get missed… or misused.

Once it’s separated, everything becomes clearer.

This is the kind of thing we walk through in coaching so you’re not guessing, overspending, or missing opportunities.

Because clarity with your money isn’t just about budgeting… it’s about understanding how all the pieces work together.

The biggest meal planning mistake I used to make w The biggest meal planning mistake I used to make was planning for my “best case scenario” week instead of my actual life.

Now I start with the schedule first.

Because some weeks have room for homemade dinners every night… and some weeks just need simple meals that keep us from eating out constantly.

A realistic plan you can follow will always work better than a perfect plan you abandon by Wednesday. 🧡

Most people think overspending is a willpower prob Most people think overspending is a willpower problem.

But a lot of the time, it’s actually an unmet needs problem.

We spend for comfort.
For relief.
For status.
For connection.
For escape.

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs reminds us that our behaviors are often driven by deeper emotional and psychological needs, not just logic.

The real work isn’t shaming yourself into “more willpower.”
It’s learning to recognize what need you’re trying to meet through spending and finding healthier, more sustainable ways to meet it.

That’s when a strong financial system starts to form. Because your money habits are no longer fighting your emotional needs.

Follow along for more real talk about money, emotions, behavior, and the psychology behind why we spend the way we do.
